How to Order your product online from Decorative Iron

In this post I would like to give you a personal view of how to go about ordering your wrought iron product from us. As an online company we take pride in having all our customers go through an easy process when they order our products. Since we are a wrought iron company, we give our best efforts for every order to go through as smooth as possible. I've put together in this blog the steps that our customers go through as they invest in our product. If you are thinking of buying from us, this is would be a great way to learn more about the process.

Let's say one of our customers need a Standard Railing. They up falling in love with the Knuckle Railing for their front porch.

Step1. Find the railing you want/need (our prices are listed on the website)



Step2. If you know the exact measurements just call us and order the product.
If you do not know exactly how to go about getting the exact fit for your home, call or email us with your wrought measurements, or email/send us a picture of where you want to put the railing. It could be a picture of your window for the balcony, or your front porch or steps, etc.

In the email include: What type of railing (knuckle, standard..etc.) what color and the state we are going to send it to.

Step3. One of our employees will answer your email or call you back with a price quote, or if they need more information they will ask first. We will send you an formal estimate if you would like to. If not you can order right there and then.

Step4. Your payment is received. We take: check by phone, all major credit cards, PayPal and we even have financing! As soon as we get the payment we will start manufacturing your product.


Step5. Depending on the job, sometimes we will formulate shop drawings for final approving. Our drafter will make the shop drawings, custom for your product to your email and as soon as you approve we will begin fabricating.

Step6. Fabrication takes about 3-4weeks, once it is completed we ship through FedEx. You will receive a tracking number through your email. You can track your package immediately after. Not only will you have the tracking number, but FedEx will call you as soon as it arrives to your home town, to schedule for a delivery, or for a pick up (depending on what service you chose as delivery).

Step7. Enjoy your product!!! 
All hardware is included in the package, and if you have more than one section to your project, they will come labeled according to the shop drawings provided.

That is it! With this service you can save with us up to 75% of regular costs. Wrought iron tends to be expensive because it is a luxury item. 2012 Update

Good Afternoon Bloggers!!

I am writing you today just to remind you of our awesome products, like our: railings, balconies, stair cases and more. Winter time is usally slow construction time for most companies. We just wanted to thanks our Nationwide customers for keeping us busy. We have gotten many orders from this year. Maybe because, atlease here in Charlotte, the winter is very very mild. Sometimes I forget to wear a sweater. Weather you are decorating your home, remodeling, or repairing your home please take a look at our products. They are fully insured, so if something happens with the shipment, you can have peace of mind that we got that taken care off! your iron raillings, balconies, stairs, flower pots, or any product you ordered is going to be replaced and you wont loose a penny! That never happens though. FedEx is really good at delivering our products =)

Here we have the good ol' standard iron railing. For such an affordable price you can spice up your front of back entrance. Making it sophisticated and safe for your family and friends. This "standard picket iron railing can be made customized to your likings. For example, you can take off the lambs tongue, add a pinaple ball cap, and make the posts 2"wide instead of 1.5. Our team can definitely help you with any design you have in mind. For any custom job we will create shop drawings and only start fabricating them when you approve them.

One of my favorite spiral stair cases. We attached our fabricated spiral stair case to this deck, it has a gate for security on top and the spindles have the "S" scroll. I think it gives it a modern edgy look to the backyard. Maybe later on they can do the rails on top to match with the spiral stair case. That would look awesome!!

Incoming project

Good Morning Bloggers!  

We love it when we have repeat customers! It is an honor for us when an old customer comes to us for a new project. In one of our last posts we shared a 1225 Church St. balcony job. It consisted of building pergolas, balconies and stairs to a luxury apartment complex in uptown Charlotte. Now we are starting to work again onto Phase 2 of this project. This customer is building a second luxury apartment complex, here in uptown charlotte and we are doing their: balconies, stairs and pergolas for that project too.

In these tough economy times we are happy to know that there still is a lot of progress in our country. Apartment complexes seem to be having a lot of progress and we love it! We also work with a builder in Pennsylvania that rebuilds and remodels buildings for living, and we see alot of economic growth in that area of construction too.

Newly Designed Iron Balcony

We had a  custom order, and were asked to help design a balcony. Our customers had something in mind, and we helped her complete it. We liked it so much, we desided to add it to our standard balconies. The new balcony name is "Secret Harbor" balcony. It's a variation of our Swan balcony. Tell us what you think. We can also create design onto iron railings. It's a bit different, but definitely creative.
